3rd Grade Character Analysis Worksheets
Ages 8-9 · Free previews · Print-ready PDFs
Written by Adi Ackerman, Head Teacher
These character analysis worksheets for 3rd grade teach children to describe a character with details from the story (CCSS RL.3.3). Each sheet has an original story on page one, like Omar at a bake sale, Lucy at a soccer tryout, Priya helping a friend in a school play or Diego at his first swim lesson. On page two, children fill in a chart about a character's actions, words, thoughts, choices, wants or feelings, answer two multiple choice questions and tell what the character learns or how they change with two details. Two sheets compare two characters, such as cousins who both want the treehouse. Sixteen original sheets, each with an answer key. Eight more character sheets from the 3rd grade character traits page also appear here, about a shy drummer, a bossy team captain, a rescue dog in training and a grumpy goat.
