Written by Adi Ackerman, Head Teacher

An air mass is a huge body of air that takes on the temperature and moisture of the place where it forms, and a front is the boundary where two air masses meet. These air masses and fronts pages hold 2 6th grade worksheets, each with an answer key. Air Masses and Fronts has students label front diagrams and complete a table of air mass codes. Reading a Weather Map has students use front symbols and pressure centers to predict which towns will cool, warm or get rain. Both sheets carry MS-ESS2-5.
