3rd Grade The Design Process Worksheets

Ages 8-9 · Free previews · Print-ready PDFs

Written by Adi Ackerman, Head Teacher

The engineering design process is the cycle of steps engineers use to solve a problem: ask, imagine, plan, create and improve. This 3rd grade design journal spreads one challenge over two pages: the problem and what the design must do, sketches of three ideas and a choice, a materials list, a table for three tests and what happened, and what to change and why. It is an open journal page with no answer key.
