5th Grade Factoring Worksheets
Ages 10-11 · 10 sub-topics · Free previews · Print-ready PDFs
These fifth grade factoring worksheets build the number theory skills that support fractions and higher-level computation: listing factors, identifying prime and composite numbers, writing prime factorizations using factor trees, and finding the greatest common factor (GCF) and least common multiple (LCM) of pairs of numbers (CCSS 5.NBT). GCF and LCM are applied directly in the fractions strand: GCF is used to simplify fractions, and LCM provides common denominators for fraction addition and subtraction. Divisibility rules are practiced as a tool for efficient factoring.
