Kindergarten Math Lesson Plans
20 plans covering the math topics kindergarten actually teaches. Each one is a full lesson: objective, timed steps, a check for understanding, and the practice pages to hand out.
What math looks like in kindergarten
Kindergarten math moves from counting objects to recognising and writing numerals, then to joining and separating small groups. By the end of the year most children work confidently within 10 and are meeting 20.
Kindergarten is the year the formal skills start: letters to sounds, numerals to quantities, and the first independent writing. Lessons still run on short blocks with plenty of modelling.
