Ages 11-12 · Free previews · Print-ready PDFs

Written by Adi Ackerman, Head Teacher

Reproduction is how living things make more of their own kind, and growth depends on the conditions around them. These two 6th grade worksheets, each with an answer key, cover both ideas. Sexual and Asexual Reproduction compares one parent and two parent reproduction and sorts examples such as a potato eye and a frog, and Plant Growth Experiment Data has students graph sample class data on bean plants given 0 to 12 hours of light. The sheets practice MS-LS3-2 and MS-LS1-5.

Frequently Asked Questions

In asexual reproduction one parent produces offspring identical to it, which is fast but creates no variation. In sexual reproduction two parents each give half of the offspring's genes, which is slower but creates variation.
